EDIT: This is a thread I started back in 2016. Several of the pics are no longer linked to good URL’s so I’ve posted the previous link if you want to find the painting.

I've selected 10 different abstract art works, created by Master abstract artists, chimpanzees, and children. Let's see how many you get correct.

I'll post the answers on page 2. Good luck, you're gonna need it.

No cheating by looking at links on pics dammit!

I see a monkey in the first one. Does that count for anything?

Trick questions, these were all done by master baby chimpanzees.

6 is clearly a piece by Franz Kline. His work is pretty distinctive. I'm pretty sure I've seen 8 somewhere. At first I thought it was a Frankenthaler, but it uses too much paint. I'm going to guess Jasper Johns or Cy Twombley?

I didn't think to look at the links. Literally all of Kline's paintings look like that. It's not that hard to spot. And I'm fairly certain I've seen 8 somewhere.

Not at all. I just enjoy ridiculing pretentious art.

2,3,6,9 master

I have no clue how to determine the difference between a child and chimp with regards to painting. Especially without defining the ages of the child artists.

One of them was quite surprising and was actually pretty good in my opinion for a chimp.
