Wouldn't it be better to never see that because people weren't engaging in criminal activity? If you love seeing a good castle doctrine, doesn't that imply you love seeing criminal activity that allows a person to kill someone?
I have no issues with what the homeowner did, but the fact that a 25 year old made such poor choices in his life that he is now dead is nothing worth celebrating.
The few people I have known who had to justifiable take a life did not celebrate the necessity of having to do so, quite the opposite, the regretted they had no choice but to do so though they had no regrets taking that required the action.
- get a H.S. diploma (and/or SOME marketable skill)
- don't get anyone pregnant until you are married (or at lease somewhat ready, financially)
- DO NOT commit crimes
Instead, he was likely fed a steady SJW-backed diet of "whitey be bad" and thus he undoubtedly made his choices based on a misunderstanding on what is important and what is, at best, peripheral.
I appreciate the logical response and I do think we mostly agree. No doubt, an intruder who is shot by the rightful occupant of a house, apartment, etc. gets what is coming to him. It's right but not the best of outcomes, which is the perp decides not to commit the crime. The approach to addressing the problem by most SJWs does nothing to move us toward the preferred outcome, probably because the leaders of the movements know they profit more by the status quo.

I’m no expert, but if they are fleeing, and if they are outside of your home, and if you shoot them anyway, then some states will charge you with manslaughter at the least.

Like a woman, an emotional part of you cannot see that we are not celebrating death at face value. What we are doing is rejoicing the removal of the scum who decided it would be a good idea to invade another man's home.

Life will always contain assholes like in the story, but it's people like you that have some emotional tie that will vilify taking out pieces of shite that really and truly should have never been born anyway.
If we as a society started cleansing the pool of murderers, rapists, pedophiles, burglars, etc. our society would actually have a proliferation of good genes and not fricked up ones.

Home burglars lives matter.

I for one am not celebrating a death, but am glad to see the second amendment and the right to self defense upheld when there are thousands of liberals who are actively trying to take those things away.
