I have been busting my butt working hard, sticking to a budget all my adult life. Within the past month I went outside of my typical expenses and purchased a Porsche Cayman S -

I have a video tape brought back from the International Space Station and given to me by NASA. Can't sell it, against federal law, but who else here owns something that's actually been out in space?

Oh, and I have an American League baseball, dating back to 1919, hit by Babe Ruth as a home run, chased down and recovered by my grandfather when he was a teenager, who waited outside the stadium and got it signed by the Sultan of Swat in the sweet spot. He left it to me when he passed away. Two more years and it'll be a century old!

Unfortunately, I could brag about more 20 years ago, than now. I can't think of anything now..

Your post just made me realize I used to have a baseball caught in the 50's by my grandfather at an Indians game. He had written a few words about who was pitching, hit the ball, and what he was doing at that point in life. I have no idea where that ball is and haven't seen it in several moves...frick

For sure, I just finished an amazing book that went into serious details on the Ardennes. Some brutal conditions which is crazy considering they weren't close to the worst throughout the war

Seriously, memories. Value them over anything I own and some are very cool.

The coolest thing I own is my 12 year old Great Dane. The fact that he's 12 and I still have him is amazing. I'm gonna cry like a little bitch if I have to put him down. I'm hoping I come home one day and he's dead on the floor. I had to put my last Dane down and when they gave her the shot and she crawled into my lap and licked my hand before she took her last breath I lost it.

1. My great great grandfathers civil was shaving kit that he carried with him from before Vicksburg to the end of the war.

2. A turn of the 20th century Self Winding Clock Company master clock that was used in the Spartanburg, SC Western Union office until 1971.

3. Tony Gwynns batting helmet that he was wearing when recording his 2966 hit in June 1999 against Houston.

4. An 1850 edition of "The Constitution of the United States" that was issued to all Congressman, Senators, Federal Justices, etc.. There were only 10,000 published that year.

You got a pic of that shaving kit? That's going to be an amazing thing to pass down due to it actually being used by a family member. If there isn't already some history info tied in with it you should try to get info for everywhere it's been. I know I would appreciate something like that
