Looks like a great tradition being started to me.
If you really look back, there were a few NFL games where the fans threw beer bottles on the field. Most famous of which was during a Cleveland Browns Game. I think it also happened at a Saints game too. Speaking of tossing things at an NFL game, you have Kyle Turley tossing his helmet in anger.
