Sometimes you can pull in going forward and there isn't a car parked in the spot in front of you, so you can pull up to that spot. Then when you leave, you go forward. That's a good trip to the store right there.

If it was as easy as everyone in this thread was saying, then people would be zipping into spaces backwards with no problems. Instead we get a fricking circus because the douche in the F-250 doesn't know how mirrors work.

How do you use those mirrors when you're pulling into a space?

That's something we can all agree on.

use taking forever to park while blocking the flow of traffic as your middle finger to the world?

I sounds like you'd also be mad when a truck that parked forward like you love so much has to take longer to back out of his parking space whenever he is leaving. Either way, you're going to be waiting for the truck to pull in/pull out.

I drove one for years. It is in no way easier or faster.

You are actually wrong

Easy to back in a space

Very hard to back out one

I had an extended bed truck with work. Much easier to back in and pull out. Hard to maneuver if you pull in front facing and try to back up to leave.

especially when its a parking lot full of tiny hatchbacks that serve zero purpose other than going to walmart and starbucks.

I get why you back in and I don't have a problem with it. I was just answering his question.

I drove a truck for 10 years - I rarely, if ever, had difficulty reversing out of a parking spot.

I'm not talking about actual work trucks, FWIW. I understand there are good reasons for that.

Dumbest thing you've said in this thread.

I do this as much as possible. My point is: Why does anyone let how someone parks bother them? If someone wants to back into a space, more power to them. Why should it be questioned by anyone?

Sounds like a matter of opinion. It's way easier for me to go straight into a confined space, and way easier to back into a non-confined space.

That makes a lot of sense to me, but hey, to each their own.

So

It is a fact it is easier to back in, than it is to back out

So you were actually being the dumbass and douchebag by backing out.
