That is what good restauranteurs do. I thought maybe you had something a little more egregious

Money/connections go a long way.

Lester doesn't perceive you as the typical idiot trump supporter that's beneath him so he's confused you're not in here bowing down to turkey and the wold and defending them.

The bedfellows politics creates is very interesting. Lester is showing how sacred these people hold their institutions, of which mediocre overpriced restaurants are a cog.

When it comes to food some people get worked up over politics, I get worked up over buying reviews and misrepresentation.

I feel bad for people who visit TatW because of the hype. But I say the same for District Donuts customers as well.

Do other restaurant not have money?

I didn't really get him suggesting it was necessarily "egregious."

That's EXACTLY what you need to do to get that type of following.

His brother is also a photographer for Bon Appetit, and other food rags, so that helps...

Sammy, esq. won't be able to process this

LE and Sammy think this fricking sandwich shop for hipsters organically got all the hype it did serving sandwiches with chips on them

I don’t find good business practice offensive, but then again I grew up in the restaurant business.

All in all it doesn’t sound like you have trouble filtering it.

This is hilarious in its own right..

Hipster will believe anything. They are a marketers wet dream. Not only will they buy into it, they'll hype it.

We have the same issue here. Dumb antifa friendly restaurant owner, blasts social justice bullshite and the hipsters love his overpriced crap.

I think The food is good and sure they have great marketing but Bon Appetit is a big magazine.

It’s gonna take a frick ton of money to just buy beat restaurant and I assume If its for sale there are lots ignorance’s willing to pay for it.

I think the food is great.

Say what you want it’s not Oscar Meyers. They made their own ham in house. They have local breads and the bologna is made locally.

Like I said? I’ve never had a bad bite there or even an average one.

And it was today that LNCHBOX was introduced to advertising. They thank your old Metairie buddies for allowing them to print money lol

LE still can't name anything unique about tw even though he claims it's what he values about the place

People will say “they put potato chips on a sandwich duuur”

They make their own hogs head cheese for their taco inauthentic

They make their own ham for the ham sandwich.

All their bread is locally made by a small baker. The bologna is locally made.

The collards green melt is unique and interesting.

The specials are wild an all over the place and usually taste very good.

I love Steins but what’s “unique” about steins if you drop it in New York?

Of course I can. But I already know how that goes. “It’s bologna”, “it’s just bread”, “it’s just a sauce”. Or “it takes no execution”. Trucker hats & dinosaurs lolololol

Everything you said pretty much held true about Shank Charcuterie as well.

Nothing. But nobody is claiming Stein's uniqueness is what sets it apart.

Not unique to nola sandwich shops

Very much not unique to nola sandwich shops

Interesting yes. Unique? No. Cochon was doing a collard melt years before tw opened.

It's also an admitted rip off of The Sam at steins.
