Man I should see if my mother has pictures of when we lived in NBR.

Anyone remember Hollywood Elementary?
Burger Chef?
Little folks toy store in Delmont Village?
McClouds on the Airline Hwy?
Krispy Kreme was there when Inwas little.
Robert E Lee Theather?

Ladies that worked at the go go club would go in the back door to the club on Plank RD. When I was little our fence backed up to the back of the club. I would ride my tricycle to the fence saying go go go go. Then my brother taught me to say hey ladies what's happening. They gave me candy, cowboy plastic gun with holster, and matchbox mail truck in the real box. Mom was pissed and took the stuff away saying go go girls were bad. Hey go go girls are good in my book.

you underestimate the amount of business they get from the clientele surrounding their current location.

Was that the one with the huge pool off of Hollywood?

It is sad NBR use to be a good middle class area. I walked home from Hollywood Elementary with my sister and brother to Holden's grocery & Liquor on Douglas ave to get some candy or a soda in a glass bottle. We collected soda bottles and returned them for the deposit to get candy and soda.

Yes.

I went to Claiborne elementary. I think Hollywood elementary became a police precinct. We used to do the the same by collecting bottles for penny candy. The good old days.

If the Pizzolato family was smart, they'd keep the Louisiana Seafood plant at the Plank Road location and move the store to a larger and newer site in South Baton Rouge. They're about 20 years late on doing that. The move would pay for itself within 3-4 years and they would double if not triple their yearly profits.

The Pizzalato family is very smart. They know that they're the only decent (fast) food location in that area. They're not going anywhere. Too much competition. One of the uncles. Cliff, opened a fast food type restaurant in SBR...Crispy Catch (?).

I know that they're not going to relocate Tony's to SBR. People drive from SBR to go there, plus they have the NBR revenue. Their yearly profits are very good where they are.

Their lunch counter always has a line and you can't get into the parking lot during crawfish season. People come to them. No need to move

They have a cop directing traffic in the parking lot.
