That’s one of the things that makes the removal such a disgusting act on the part of our government. The Cherokee were thought of as equals in society and government at the time. It wasn’t until gold was discovered in the region that suddenly they were considered inferior.

Also, do you know where all the hidden Cherokee Gold is? There are legit legends around Georgia about hidden Cherokee Gold.

No. The Creeks didn’t have a system of government set up and hadn’t assimilated with the white settlers in the way the Cherokee had. They rejected westernism and education, unlike the Cherokee who embraced it and believed they could build a society that incorporated modern(of the time)values as well as traditional ones.
The gold is in Tsali caves.

Fun fact: Some of the Cherokee Indians were wealthy enough to own African slaves. They used them prior to and after their relocation.
A census after the Civil War on the new Cherokee lands indicated the number in the 1000s. Not surprisingly many Cherokees fought for the south. Look up Stand Watie.

I’m not as familiar with the history of the tribes in that area. The truth is, both the left and the right go to each extreme in an attempt to use native history to suit their own purposes despite most Native people disagreeing with both
