I found a magnalite casserole dish for $10. I am going to list it today. Seems to sell for around $75. But it is the old USA one so maybe more.
My Starbucks cup is up to $15 (I paid 3) and ends today. Most sell around 25-30. I also have sold more ornaments that endedast night. Not too bad if I can ship all at one time. Gives me something to do while working from home.

I’m over $9000 in sales in the last 90 days on eBay, plus another $2000-$3000 off eBay.
I just cannot miss right now. I’m guessing everyone been sitting at home for the last 9 months, cleaning out their junk.
I didn’t go this weekend (even though there hardly no sales), but I’ll be out at it again next Friday & Saturday.

What’s your eBay name?

I ended up flipping the magnalite piece on marketplace for $80 so a quick $70 profit and I did not have to ship. I have only sold 4 things on ebay so far and I have made $100 so no big money yet lol. But it did turn $10 into 100. I had a good weekend at my booth last weekend so I restocked there instead of listing and now I have 3 more boxes to restock there this week. I may also try mecari because a few groups have said vintage sells well there.

I sort of expected a local breaux bridge thing from the 60s to have some French writing

I could have gotten what basically was a 1958 NC trophy, but didn’t want to camp out and pay top dollar for it. It was a trophy celebrating the 58 NC, given to Jim Corbett, for being the AD of LSU at that time.
A friend of mine did get it, paying $2000 for it I believe.

that would have made for a good mantle piece. In your opinion what has been your best find?

My coolest find would be the mini basketball given out at Maravich’s last home game at LSU. It was signed by Pete and his dad. I paid $1 for it. Sold it to my friend that got the trophy above for $400 (signatures were not good).

My highest dollar single item was a pair of AR-3 speakers. I paid $275, sold for $1600+.

My highest percentage dollar item would be a 1950’s (forget exact year) comic book “Thund’a” #1. I paid $2, sold for $700+.

My highest profit off a collection I bought is when I bought an entire collection of Megos and Six Million Dollar Man toys. I paid $150 (his asking price), sold for nearly $7000. This collection is what got me learning vintage toys, and become a decent vintage toy expert.

My best heart felt finds was finding the stolen Bowl watches of Pop Strange and getting them back to his family, and finding Bert Jones’s letterman jacket and getting it back to him (I did have to sell it back to him for what I paid for it, $200), and got a free dinner at Ruffino’s out of it. I had a couple people offer me $1000+ for it. The Strange family gave me one of the watches, and would not take it back when I sold my LSU collection. They told me to sell it. The had two of them. I sold it for $600. It did cost me nearly $300 to get it fixed.
The watch story ties back into the mini basketball story above. The estate sale company was forced to give the watches to the Strange family because they were stolen, and refused to give me back all of my $700 I paid for them. He only gave me back $600 because the Strange family wanted to give me $100 reward (which I would not take). So at their next sale, I find that ball (marked $1) and said thank you. I go back to the sale the next day and tell them “frick you”, and tell them what I found at their sale.

Other notables, I paid $1700 for the original pano photograph taken at the first game in Tiger Stadium. I got permission to reproduce it, sold quite a few, made a few thousand dollars, then sold the photograph and rights for quite a bit (more than I paid for it).

No, that’s horseshoe shaped, so that’s 40’s probably.
I don’t have a copy any more but it was in the 1925 yearbook, and measured 9”x44”. I believe it’s in view at Roosters’ barbershop on Highland and Old Perkins.

Yeh I wouldn't think that was the photo but I wasn't sure. Only asking because I see the horseshoe photo everywhere and that would be pretty cool if you had the original.

Some of my strangest things I’ve ever bought and sold for good money:

The cup/jockstrap maybe the winner. I bought it as a joke to post on here - paid $2, sold $51

Alcoholics Anonymous chips. These were very old, 50’s or 60’s probably - paid 50¢, sold $60+

30+ years of yearly train passes for several different train companies (1905-1930’s) - paid 35¢, sold for $800+

A cast iron ceiling fan body from 1890’s. I discovered it by accident, stubbed my toe on it - paid $5, sold for $400, the winner paid $500 more to ship to Singapore

1952 Daisy BB gun scope. You couldn’t sell BB guns on eBay back then - paid $2 for gun and scope, scope sold for $200+ on ebay, gun sold for $100 on gun broker.

I buy/flip crap online all the time but it’s mainly outdoor stuff, fishing gear, Atv/motorcycle parts, bicycles, etc. These threads make me want to go to estate sales but combo of having a 2 month old plus not being able to go during the week hasn’t made it easy. I did however go to one about a month ago around the corner from my house, and while I didn’t find anything good I did get quite surprised that they REALLY do sell EVERYTHING. They had $2 tags on every condiment/spice in the cabinets

Here’s some of my cool recent bicycle flips.

Miyata TI6000 titanium road bike, this one turned out to be pretty rare. It was left at a house a lady had just bought and wanted it gone, she sold it to me for $25, I cleaned and oiled it up, put some new tires on it, rode it about 500 miles and sold it for $550.

Santana Noventa tandem touring bike, I bought this as a joke for $100 and told my wife we’d ride it around downtown Lafayette, I cleaned it, redid all the shifter and brake cables, new tires and it was good to go. We were moving away from downtown and she was pregnant so I sold it to some hipsters from New Orleans for $500.00

Bought a generic Trek entry level mountain bike out of a guys shed for $50, cleaned it, put air in the tires, and had it sold in 45 minutes for $225.

Bought a fishing kayak 2 weeks ago for $1000, sold it 4 days later for $1700.
