Did 360 give you a price?
Weekend calls can get expensive

The ice is basically all gone already.

What's the rules on Freon now? Is it going out now with R22, or now it will just cost more?
R-22 production will cease 1/1/20. You will still be able to purchase whatever virgin refrigerant is still in stock as well as recycled R-22.

Also, check the drip pan under the attic unit. A clogged drain pipe will cause it to fill and trip a sensor to shut it off the AHU.

Where would ice be inside?

I gotcha...I'm just learning about all this a/c stuff as of a few years ago. When shite goes wrong.

If this means the coils on the outside unit walls, they are clear as are the pipes under the fan.
no, the evaporator coils right after the filter on the inside. you can usually get on a ladder with a flashlight and look at them.
they shouldnt look like this:

Damn, you got yourself a dedicated downvoter...
If the coils on the inside unit are dirty enough it could cause it to freeze up. There are aerosol coil cleaners available to the gen public that work.
Good luck. Update when resolved if you would.

In the attic now. There's a small ice buildup on one of the skinny coil wires coming out of the attic unit. The ice is dripping though. Should I keep everything off and fan on?
Attic drip pan is dry.

Jesus, I remember seeing coils like that. The ones with an inch of compacted animal hair are real fun too.

if they look clean let the fan run for another hour or 2 and then try to run the ac.
Posted on 2/11/17 at 7:48 pm to King of New Orleans
Run the fan until all the ice has melted and then turn it to auto.
If you're lucky you will get several hours of cooling before the coils freeze again.

And why would they freeze again? Still thinking it's low on freon?

OK. Nobody is going to address the elephant in the room. Why in the hell are we having to use the A/C in February? I had to turn mine on today also. This winter has been nuts!

Positive it's freon. Anytime ice is on the pipe that's not a good sign. Get air guy out asap to fill it back up
Posted on 2/11/17 at 7:51 pm to King of New Orleans
The lady I'm working with this evening come in and had the same problems you are having. Her ac guy said freon most likely.
Posted on 2/11/17 at 7:51 pm to King of New Orleans
Yeah. It's low on freon if it's icing.
Posted on 2/11/17 at 7:52 pm to LSUAlum2001
Low on freon even if the filter was the main issue? Seems like shortly after the clean filter went in, the outdoor ice went away fast.
