Hmmm... that is strange if true.

So, they get life in prison?

Amazing we havent had a school shooting where an underage kid decided to live through it and avoid the death penalty.

Kid should get life in prison. His sister lost all of hers.

I don't know how you can say this. It's completely fricked up but a 9 year old can barely comprehend those choices. It's basically a catch 22.

I was 9 once. Knew exactly what the frick I was doing. Saw my dad beat the shite out of my mom and look for shot gun shells to kill all of us. He could not find them and had he found them I would not be posting right now. I was 4 years old. Understood then the ramifications of what he was doing.

At 9 years old I all but knew what violence was and the outcome of violence. I thought I would lose my mom that one fateful night and still remember it like yesterday.

By the way, I was figuring out potential comparisons of this incident and the death of JonBenet Ramsey.
It has been suggested by many that her brother, who coincidentally was also 9 years old at the time, was her murderer. The parents elected to concoct this "kidnap" ruse to throw off investigators.
I wonder if the parents in the Mississippi situation could have tried the same approach to "save" the one son.
