I didn’t see any mention at all about it being the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the USA. Was this omitted intentionally or did they just have bigger fish to fry in the news world?

Maybe they don't want you to remember that there are people on the other side of the world who have never met you, but hate you because of who you are.

They posted this article about a man getting a retrial because some jurors allegedly made the most OT remark on the planet:

"Lets convict this **** already, I am ready to go play golf."

Yesterday's Editorial "Our Views: The world is always with us" mentions it.

I'm a 36 year old white male who grew up in Northern Louisiana...I have heard this term maybe twice from white men and hundreds of times from black ones...This lady is trying to shite on the process for some reason

Agree. It sounds straight out of some stereotypical white man handbook.

Time eventually dulls the impact of historical events “newsworthiness.”

It’s a liberal rag of a newspaper. Scott Lamana was a 1988 graduate of Catholic High School in BR, who died in the attack on the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. I believe he was in the US Navy. Should have been a front page story honoring him.
