Exactly, and there was little outrage over that. Sure, there was the sect of people who were rooting for him(as there were with Bonnie and Clyde) but I don't believe anyone protested or anything like that over them lighting his arse on fire.

No. But maybe. My point was that that story and those details were buried. "Oh we just fired an incendiary device near some blankets or firewood in a log cabin. I think we heard a shot? "

These cops had had enough. They had lost a few of their own and this opportunity was there. They took it. And why not? Why get in a gun battle with a dude just as trained (I assume) as they were. They did the absolute right thing. But you just can't say it.

You think if they would have shot Derrick Todd Lee in the back, then stood over him and blasted his head off with a shotgun, there would have been a outcry from more than 10 people?

Who is he? Sorry? Not trying to be an arse? Is that the California guy I am referencing?

But to answer the question... With a news chopper overhead catching everything?

The terrorist couple in CA that got killed. You can't find two more prime candidates for extermination, but I bet they fired first. LEO probably had to wait for it? Or at least make an aggressive move. That SUV looked a lot like the Bonnie and Clyde car too after ward.

I read Baby Face Nelson was chased out of his hideout and shot in the back. Then stood over him and put one in his head.

Come on man, they showed on live tv those FBI agents in Cali making a suspect a human rotisserie chicken, and there was no "clusterfrick."

But no kill shot shown or flailing burning body shown.

And the media MAYBE drew a line too and said, "nope. No story here. frick that guy" too.

Boston Marathon dude too. There was zero negotiation really. This is the type of extreme example needed today to warrant that action AND get no shite from the public for it. Of course with that dude they had plenty of reason to believe explosives were a possibility. BUT they threw a LOT of bullets into a boat that possibly had explosive material in it.

But they were self proclaimed murderers.

Crazy but today this still wouldn't prove they're guilty lol. I've heard it multiple times with rappers ... they claim its just an image to look cool and gain popularity.

But did I get my gangster right? I believe they caught him in the Midwest somewhere. He runs out the back into a field and they shoot him running away. Then finish him off.

Again, just a period of American history that fascinates me.

Ever been to the Alamo?

You're standing in a room where a lot of men were killed/massacred. Bullet holes everywhere. 2 paces to the left... Gift shop.

It was an O Brother Where Art Thou joke

Nelson took out two FBI agents before they got him.

Still pisses me off that Rolling Stone put basically a glamour shot of that a-hole on the cover of their magazine.

At the same house he was killed? I know he killed officers/agents. But I thought when they caught him they surprised him and he wasn't able to do shite but run. I may have the wrong gangster.

Trying to be relevant again. What was the music angle to the story?

Are you talking about the misuse of "ridden" or the idea of the care with bullet holes in it?

They are buried in a cemetery near downtown Dallas on the Oak Cliff side of the trinity. You could almost walk there from the Grassy Knoll.
