Look at all the children posting here. The period of 1965 to 1975 was the absolute best for rock music, sex and jobs. So many great bands, drive in movies and the pill had just come out. Louisiana legal drinking age was 18 which meant 16. Oil and Gas along with construction was booming.

The 80's in Louisiana was a time of economic decline and my mortgage at the time was considered good at 11%.

I loved the 70s as well. My sisters were much older so I got to hang out with the teens when I was much younger. All their 60s and 70s music is still my favorite even now. And of course those bands albums they also made into the 80s.

How 80's is this? I mowed grass to pay for my parachute pants and the ticket for Foreigner.

Not in East Texas, baw. Your statistics don't mean a thing. We were free, safe and got to live like we wanted to.

No, it means a tremendous number of Fellas here didn't live in the fricking Bronx or Cabrini Green. We didn't ever have to Escape From New York or ride subways with The Warriors.

you mistyped 90s

After partying from the 1950’s and all the way into 1980’s, grunge raised its ugly head and erased rock and roll. After the 90’s there was no more rock.

Also, Pentium 386 processors, beepers, and Zcavaricis - All new and all turrible and they all sucked arse.

Even Randy the Ram knew when the party ended.

I think a real argument can be made for the 70s-90s

Pre-cell phones and social media.

I felt safe with Ronald Reagan being the President.

I thought I was going to have to lookout for quick sand a lot more then I have .

Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them.

non debatable

The internet seems really useful. Having a heart attack and not meaning absolute death is pretty nice. Not smoking inside restaurants and well, every other building is pretty cool. Kicking off the crack and AIDS epidemic wasn’t fun. Same for all time highs in murder rates.

We can always look to the past with a nostalgic eye. But barring apocalyptic circumstances, the further we go into the future, we are typically in a better place.
