Too many times. Always easy to get to the next round: just spit out technical stuff they will never understand so they have no choice but to get you to the hiring manager who understands it.

Probably the same reason that 80%+ manual laborers are men. Some jobs/careers are more suited to and appealing to one sex or the other.
