Mount Washington Observatory in New Hampshire recorded a 176 mph wind gust I believe a few weeks ago. Jet stream is sending these Low pressures like pissed off cattle

All flights in and out of Denver have been cancelled. No flights available for tomorrow and some of those are being cancelled as well. Not to mention Southwest losing planes.

This is gonna wreak major havoc on travellers for the next 48+ hours.

Low riding the subtropical jet meeting a trough diving down from the north, both combine as it drops off the front range. Pretty great set up for a big time lee side low.

I drove from McKinney Tx to Gallup NM today in it. It was crazy. The wind started about an hour into the trip and never stopped. It pushed my SUV around like crazy. Was a very stressful drive.
