This is on the officer as well. How do you have an interaction where you stop a person, go up to their car to speak with them, run their information, arrest them, and not realize there is a baby in the car?

The officer never had such an interaction with the person

Did the guy show up at the police station on his own accord No, it was a Mazda 3.

If I had a guess, I'd say Big Mama finally got a call from her POS grandson looking for bail money. During that collect call, he tells Big Mama the kid is still in the car. Dad of the year.

Whatley's entire interaction at the police station – from entering the lobby to going to the county jail – was recorded on body camera, police said. He never mentioned that his infant daughter was in his vehicle.

and there it is

a fricking tragedy, but hard to see how this was the cops fault

If it happened 9 months ago and the mom wanted to kill it, she could. No harm, no foul, no story.

this is 98% all on the cops, every traffic stop the car is searched and towed and everything in it is inventoried.

cops should be charged with the babies death here. that said yes he should have said something but then he had no reason to think they would leave his kid locked in a hot car on the side of the road, no reasonable person would

Is you a ratard or did you not read the entire article?

Democrats are ok with this, basically an abortion.

You're totally right the situations are both the same. Democrats, pure evil and going to hell. Republicans, the righteous good people, who are going to heaven.

These are facts.

Could it be anything other than being left in a hot car for 7 hours.

Grammy going to get paid. Someone parked in your lot and you arrested them and never bothered to go check the car or have it towed ? Of course this a-hole could have said something but damn. Just a sad story all the way around.

This is freaking terrible... and very sad for a poor child to suffer and loose their life.
