This came up on my memory wall on FB, and I realized tomorrow (9/14) was the day he passed. It seemed like everyone on the OT had him as their avatar pic.

I remember the story. Hard to believe it's been 6 years.
I think he was the grandson of a Lake Charles judge.
Prayers for his family on the date he got his angel's wings.

So sad, a nine year old girl in our community left this earth yesterday because of leukemia. Thousands of people were impacted by her life, including myself. I have hope they are in a better place and will he reunited with their families again one day.

I have big ole tears in my eyes after reading that. As a parent it’s hard not to put myself in your shoes and I just cannot imagine. I pray for you and your wife and that I never have to go through something similar.

I remember. Such a strong little dude fighting each and every day. Very gracious of the family allowing us to all join the family in fighting for him. I cannot imagine the pain of losing a child like that.

It's actually been 7 years but the impact this story had on TD was incredible.
