Took me about a year to get used to sleep schedule
Then it was no problem. 7 off is pretty awesome

I did it for a few years. Best schedule ever. I was always a night owl and enjoyed the quiet of night. If your family obligations/schedule allow for it then I say try it out.

And yes, get blackout curtains and don’t let any sun in. Box fans. And try to get to sleep before sun up.

I worked a 3-2-2-3 schedule 12 hour shifts I liked it, it gave me plenty of time off.

I did seven on seven off 1100-2300 for a couple of years didn't much care for it but it was nice to have 7 days off. I lived close enough to the base where I was in my own bed every night instead of company housing which was a plus. Now I work a four and three and wouldn't change it for the world.

I used to during "covid." Worked Wednesday to Tuesday. 48 hours one week, 36 the next. Absolutely loved it because you don't have to use up vacation to take one.
