Bought a 2015 trail back in December. I've only owned it for a little over a month but it is awesome and I honestly don't see myself ever owning anything else I've enjoyed it so much. 4 wheel drive works great and the off road crawl assist feature is pretty cool. So far I've taken it through thick mud and sand and have yet to come close to feeling like I was getting stuck.

I have an 06, and my next vehicle will be another 4runner. I love it, but next time I'm 100% getting 4 wheel drive.

Same boat, I rarely would use 4WD...but it would be nice.
I didn't want to pay early for it initially.

Don't see much a use for it in south louisiana. Except a slick boat launch.

Had a 97 until I sold it in 2015. Loved the vehicle and will most likely go back to one when I stop doing so much interstate travel.
