Every single time I open up a thread on motorcycle clubs, I have to play this song

Blodwyn Pig-Dear Jill

FYI it is the song that that plays on The Vagos website when you open it up.

That's what I don't understand. Is the need to dress and look like a 1%er.

I can understand enjoying hanging out and riding it's the modeling of your group after 1% clubs that I don't understand.

True but those cops are shunned and osterized by their peers, not respected by their organization.

LOL. Yeah, keep telling yourself that. Cops protect their own. Don't think they don't.

My point is if you aren't a 1%....why dress like and associate with them.

I think I see the problem here. You equate 1%er with being a criminal. Yes, there are 1%ers who are criminals. But like I said, there plenty more who are not.

And as for "dressing" like them. Dude, motorcycle clubs were around for decades before the term 1%er was ever even thought of. Motorcycle clubs range from "outlaw" clubs to Christian Clubs, veteran clubs, firefighter clubs, and even cop clubs. Being in a motorcycle club has nothing to do with being a criminal, dressing up, or being or acting like a badass.

Once again, motorcycle clubs have been around since the early 20th century, literally right after the first motorcycles were built. The concept of the 1%er didn't even emerge until 1947 and really didn't catch on until the 60s.

And from what I understand, this is the direct result from motorcycle troops from the US Army rotating back home and trying to reintegrate themselves back into society.

Certainly a fascinating and underreported part of our history.

I have zero qualms with someone going out on the weekend with their buddies on their Goldwings, etc wearing a leather jacket and having a good experience of freedom and the open road. It obviously is an extremely foolish undertaking from a personal protection and safety standpoint, but I can understand that. I cannot understand the make believe dress up that MCs do where they pay deference to other members in their clubs because they are considered special within their criminal organization.

Lastly, law enforcement polices their own. If someone steps out of line unbeknownst to the public it's taken care of. The profession of an LEO is build on the foundation of trust with its civilian populace. It is the ethic and expertise through which they maintain that trust. Law enforcement is a self policing profession that does not tolerate a lack of integrity or honor. They are accountable to the American people and without them people like MCs would have fiefdoms and completely subjugate their constituents.

Holy frick. This idiot thinks the cops are all that's protecting the American public from being enslaved by us motorcycle clubs. It's like he's got some sort of pathetic Road Warrior/Mad Max fantasy.

Play stupid games and win stupid prizes.

Deal with it. Biker gangs are just like inner city gangs. They all do illegal shite and so no one GAF when harm comes their way.

It's a good thing, less alive to do bad.. which, if your honest, you know they do

GTFO, are you saying that police have their own set of laws and the laws that apply to everyone else (the same laws they are paid to enforce) do not apply to them? Assuming "stepping out of line" means breaking laws, your saying it's ok for them to "take care of it" secretly and under the table?

In U.S., Confidence in Police Lowest in 22 Years

Sounds like they are doing shitty job of building trust:

quote:

Overall, 25% of Americans say they have a great deal of confidence in the police, 27% quite a lot, 30% "some," 16% "very little" and 2% "none." The combined 18% who have very little or no confidence in police is the highest Gallup has measured to date.

They are accountable to the American people

Wait are they accountable to the Public or their brothers in blue? Remember when you said this?

quote:

law enforcement polices their own.

How are they accountable to the public if they are disciplined/reprimanded or "taken care of" as you put it:
quote:

unbeknownst to the public

Still denying the video of the gangsters running into the restaurant guns blazing?
Spare me the dramatic pose, hypocrite.
Call me crazy. If I see police stages outside a family restaurant in small forces, I ask questions. To claim these people "didn't know what was going on" is ignorance in its purest form.

Hey idiot, I've said from the start that the ones "running with guns blazing" should be arrested and prosecuted. Maybe spend a little more time actually reading and comprehending and a little less time trying to be a smartass and you'd have seen this.

Once again, a little reading would have saved you from showing the whole board how much of a dumbass you really are. The ones you see in the video are almost all Cossacks. They showed up before the Bandidios and can be seen on the video getting ready for a fight. Their intention was to attack as soon as the Bandidos arrived. And this is exactly what they did, even before the first Bandidos to arrive could get off their bikes.

The Cossacks started this whole thing. And who controlled the Cossacks? The fricking cops. Like I've already said, two groups knew there would be trouble at Twin Peaks that day. Two groups went to Twin Peaks to make sure that trouble would happen. And those two groups were the Cossacks and the cops.
