I am curious how many Krewes May end up just having to take the year off because members won’t want to pay dues for a canceled MG. I doubt Destroya will either cancel in the fall or wait until the last minute.

Jefferson Parish will be waiting with open arms.

There is a historical precedent: the parades all moved to JP for a year in the late 1970s during the Orleans Parish police strike. The parades will roll, in one parish or another.

I wonder if a couple of parades could return to the West Bank in 2021?

If Latoya prevents MG 2021 in Orleans Parish, I'm sure all alternatives will be considered.

Ultimately, I think the parades roll on the same routes as usual. Latoya made her MG 2021 comments to garner attention, keep her name in the spotlight, and cover her rear end. A great way to piss of supporters, though, is to affect Mardi Gras.

Bacchus would look great rolling down Gen DeGaulle.

That's still Orleans Parish. If Orleans Parish cancels uptown parades, they aren't letting them run in Algiers instead.

If parades are considering running in JP as an alternative, I would think they'd be looking at the Metairie route instead of the westbank

No thanks.

So many Nancies threw a damn fit about the Metairie parades reversing the route this past Mardi Gras, that I think some might have a nervous breakdown about a full on Nola krewe coming here.

I really think the logistics would be a problem for a bigger parade.

I could see Choctaw and Alla returning to their West Bank roots and parading in old Gretna (although they were Algiers based parades...

It’s like, who even is this? I have never seen or heard this name outside of this site.
