Was this a true all out fast with literally no water intake , or any means of electrolytes, during the 72 hours?

Yeah, that's how scientists test things. They start by observing the effects in other animals.

Are you arguing prolonged fasting doesn't produce stem cells?

You didn't lose 3 pounds of fat. You lost 3 lbs of feces and water.

Are your poops still rising? There may be some help for you here.

Why does poop float? Is it normal?

You absolutely would. Day 1 is a bitch. Day 3 gets rough too, but after that it gets alot easier for most people.

Oh, hell no. No water intake would put me in in ER after 48 hours cause I was very active outside and it's Florida.

I was not just drinking water either, had Celcius every afternoon, green tea, and at night I'd drink some zero sugar gatorate which has sea salt and "electorlytes" to replenish. I drank plenty of fluids, for sure.

This. End of day 1 is a bitch, day 2 is a breeze, and day 3 for me, personally, was counterproductive with haziness and diminished energy cause I was active and energy deficit just wasn't practical. I could do 2 day fast every week I think and not skip a beat.

You still give you stomach a time to heal up and get some hormonal benefits.

Serious question. Why?

One thing fasting does is it immediately resets your mental relationship with food which is a problem for millions of Americans. You quickly learn that you don't need to eat all the time & you actually feel better when you arent constantly eating. As OP said, after you start eating again, you really don't have an appetite. Kinda couter-intuitive since you'd think you'd just want to stuff your face with whatever.

Most people don't even know that hunger pangs will naturally go away after a few minutes by themselves.

People also don’t understand that it’s ok to be hungry. You’re not gonna die

Off topic a little
But if you’re trying to lose weight peanut butter is not a good/smart source of protein. FYI

Of course, you know me better than me even without ever seeing me or knowing my bathroom schedule.

Some people like to get snarky without knowing the facts. There was a very small #2 that would insignificantly account for the weigh loss. I started the fast after my big morning deuce and because I'm on keto 1/day 24 hour fast I don't really hold much inventory in my lower intestines.

While I lost some water weight, some I had to get energy from fat after my muscle glycogen depleted, and considering I'm pretty much on keto and intermittent fasting my body can tap it into ketosis and burn fat faster.

Since I don't eat carbs, I'm also not holding whole lot of water.

So there is that.

You lost water weight.

You probably didn’t make it to a point your body was eating away fat or muscle. Not in just 3 days.

You saying you kind of already do keto doesn’t mean you are already doing keto.

I already do low carb. And if I do no carbs for a few days I immediately drop 3-4 lbs.

If you are already accustomed to keto/intermittent fasting, you should try going longer. Plan on 5 days next time. The benefits can be profound.

Based on my bone structure and build, yes. If I'm 188-190, I start getting surprised "how thin and lean" I look, I put on 4-6 pounds and I'm looking more jacked and athletic and people who haven't seen me for 2-3 months notice it. I think the weight comes off my face first so I end up looking thinner than I really am.

So in 3 days I only went on glycogen and scraps of digested leftovers in my lower intestine? Impossible for my size.

I didn't mention but I was doing heavy work, I had a project to remove part of the slab on my property and had to jackhammer for a 2 hours. That motherfricker weighed like 100lbs. Plus I had to lug around generator everywhere and load it back in a pickup to return to rental. I also played volleyball on 1st day for about 2 hours and I think I even lifted a bit.

If I had a desk job, probably, but honestly I just like to do things with my hands and be active and I'm going to be a zombie after day 3 if I both fast and exert myself. I felt that light headache and haziness on the 3rd day. 2nd day was beautiful. Maybe it was a phase but I wasn't digging it and I don't see how it would improve.

I wouldn't recommend this if you're being active during the fast.

Why do you say that? His body had to get energy from somewhere; do you think it was all from muscle or organ tissue?

Especially when doing heavy physical work and playing sports (at least in the first 2 days).
