Yeah, this one blew my mind when I first heard about it. These guys are alive right now and their father was born prior to the civil war and was old enough that he probably vividly remembered growing up in a home with slaves.

Does suck that their grandfather probably died 50+ years before they were born, and probably barely knew their dad

Tortoises are reptiles. They specified that they were talking about mammals. Tortoises may still be the oldest form of reptile, for what it's worth.
