What you don't seem to realize is that there's another event. There's always another.event and do you want people getting shot during it?

Well if you're not proud of it you're probably already long gone to the Northshore or even further... When you say shite like "at least most of them survive". This shouldnt be happening and we need to take back our city

They really ought to have continuous video surveillance along Bourbon street.

This guy gets it. As opposed to others that blow it off as part of N.O. Or attacking those that have concerns.

UPDATE: police say 9 shot, not 7

Oh bourbon street, you never fail to produce a wonderful and safe environment.

Mitch better jump on this and clean it up quick if he wants to run for Governor. A massive police presence is warranted in any case to satisfy the business owners whose $$$ flow is threatened.

Look at the comments in this thread.
Full of "Nola gonna Nola" and "no big deal, this is just a typical day in New Orleans"

Is there no truth to those statements?

So you assume those comments are coming from New Orleanians?

Have they released video footage of the incident and identified the perpetrator?

Plenty of truth I suppose. There is, on average 3 threads per day that mention New Orleans as the best place to live in LA and how proud New Orleanians are of the city.
This is what New Orleans is and the residents are proud of it.

Why isn't there much national press about this?
The media jumps all over any school shooting (like that bozo in California a few weeks ago) but shooting in NOLA somewhat fly under the radar. Even the Mother's Day shooting last year didn't receive too much press.
