What’s with those console-side handles on the white one?

Does the blue one come with suicide doors in the rear?

First thing I thought. Not sure why people are down voting you, it does look weird. Maybe that is how their Rams and F350s are designed?

Overall the Telluride looks awesome. Exterior looks like a Range Rover, interior a cross between RR and an X5.

Only nit picks are the grill (but almost all grills look retarded these days) and that weird console arm/leg rest thing.

If I were in the market for a non luxury brand SUV and cared more about value than brand I would drive it.

People hating on Kia haven't driven one recently. Only reservation I have with the Telluride is I don't normally like the idea of buying the first year model for a new line.

Kia /Hyundai have come a long way. It's like buying Walmart's Equate brand over the name brand offered. Very close to the competition but at a discount in price and quality.

It's up to you to determine if it's worth it.

I'd buy it before buying anything GM puts out.

My last car was an Kia Optima. Really good car. Basic package was great with interior. I highly recommend them. The only hesitation is the Sorrento seemed cheap. Probably because of the SUV size of it. The Optima was obviously more compact and nice.

Nothing epitomizes Telluride like a KIA
ETA: like a lady who lives in a trailer park naming their kid Porsche

While it looks awesome..I just couldn't look past Kia honestly. Just like anything. I trust some names and not others. Just like I'd never buy a harbor freight power tool, even if it was decently rated. Just can't trust it in the end to be as good as others

If KIA would just put a different logo on the front it would look 10x better

Me too. I really liked mine. Great mileage, great features, looked pretty good. People that hate on KIAs don't remember that Japanese cars were originally held in the same regard.

Korean cars used to be pure shite but Hyundai really stepped up their game with the 05 Sonata and then the new Genesis line

Kia followed suit. i think they're very similar productions

You can buy them and put them on. A dude at my bank did it and a couple of other things and I had to ask what kind of car it was. I looked into it briefly for my Optima.

Seems like the business model is working. Hyundai and Kia came into the market with affordable cars to fit a need. As they sold more cars and confidence has gone up, they have increased their game. Over the next several years, the general public will continue to be confident in the new luxury models. I don't know if they will ever be like Toyota or Honda, but certainly don't see them having problems excelling over the other major brands.

The only thing alarming is I can count on one finger the # of Koreans I know who drive either brand but that may be nothing.
