True. Right now they’re just looking for places to set up shop. The key is to treat and continue treatment for when these MFers start establishing themselves on your property. Then the treatment goes to work killing the colony.

UMMMM.....FOR YOU ROOKIES OUT THERE!

You can spray all you want. It will do you no good. These termites are not the same that's in your house. These swarms are unstoppable. This is the time of the year when all the bug control companies make their money. Cause inexperience people think they can kill them. But they can't. Just wait till the 1st of June and it will be over with.

I see this thread every year and think the same thing. I’ve lived in South Louisiana all of my life and I don’t ever remember seeing these ‘searms’ that y’all talk about. Maybe I’m just an idiot, but if I’ve seen them, I didn’t know what I was looking at....

I set up little lights outside, away from the house, and scoop them up and feed them to the fish in the aquariums.

They go nuts.

If you have a patio, driveway, sidewalk or any other concrete that touches your house slab that isn’t part of the original foundation pour, it is good to drill a 1/2” hole through the concrete and pour chemical into it. The 4 gallon backpack sprayer will work if you take the nozzle off. Same application rate and then mix a little mortar and fill the hole.

I did a ton of research on Taurus SC before I bought it and I found 100% positive reviews all over the web so I decided it was a must-have. My Terminix contract is up in June -- should I go ahead and drop it or would it still be a $300 annual cost well-spent for the peace of mind?

Taurus is good. However, I'm partial to Termidor SC. We are in North Louisiana here though. Different kind of termite.

If it's a damage gaurantee contract, I'd still stick w it, although the chances having problems are extremely low since you used Taurus correctly.

Yeah, Taurus is my go to chemicalfor termites. I actually use it for exterior pest control too. Works wonders.

Is it possible to mix the mixture into a pressure washer and inject it into the ground directly? I've got a pressure washer and a industrial paint sprayer (which is just a high pressure positive displacement pump. Seems like all you need is an injector head or something.

Kinda what I was leaning to as well. I hate to spend the $300 each year knowing I've treated with the best treatment available but I'd hate even more to have to repair my home out of pocket if I do end up with damage.

Seriously though, you're not supposed to get the chemical on your skin, much less all over your body via mist and back spray from a pressure washer. I wouldn't use a pressure washer for it. It's going to get everywhere you don't want it to get.
