Any idea what attracts them so much?

Humidity? Heat? Both?

They would like them both. POS insect.

They'll take note forever once they're bitten. Deer flies are annoying. Horse flies make you HOLLA!!

I've always ranked the horsefly season based on "propensity for bites in nonsensical places" not necessarily number ofor bites. For example: high percentage of flies willing to bite
a) On the top of the head or....
b) Om the elbow.
