BR took it worse for Rita than Katrina .. when Katrina passed, you wouldn't have known there was a major hurricane just 90 miles to our east if you weren't watching TV .. but Rita's winds in the middle of the night, here, were pretty impressive ..

I must say you are a polarizing figure when it comes to thread derailments on TD

This is honestly one of the dumbest things you've ever posted.

Okay, let's get this thing back on track, shall we?

It will be interesting if this thing heads to Central Texas and decides to drop a shite-ton of rain.

Right?

Anytime something would get in the Gulf I would try to will it this way.

1) We needed the rain
2) I dislike Houston

What the ice for?

Do you keep it in a yeti or do you have to have a generator to keep it?

my electricity was out for 5 days in the garden district after Katrina. Electricity didn't go out for Rita.

You're one of the very few .. i never lost power for Katrina and didn't Rita either .. I don't equate storm strength with how long my lights are off ..

ETA: not much of BR lost power for long periods of time in Katrina .. that sounds like a power grid issue more than the storm .. I don't think we had a gust get into the 50s for Katrina
