Invoice means nothing. The dealership showed you "invoice" and you fell for it. You should've gone online to Trucar pricing to find the real invoice. You always negotiate invoice minus holdback which is usually $3-5K under. You left several thousands on the table just by missing this step. They ripped your trade as well, and made money of it. You should've gone on Mannheim to see your real trade value before you started negotiating. They made money off you.

I'm not going to say you got ripped off, but you left a little bit of $ on the table. I left a little bit when I bought my Sierra a few weeks ago I'm sure, but apparently your'e happy paying what you paid for the vehicle and that's what matters. After all it is you making the payments on it.
Edited for misspelling, sorry on my phone. Damned grammar nazis.

what was the trim level of the Yukon? this is base level, no options added. A CEL isn't a big deal 80% of time its a bad Oxygen sensor.
SLT is not a base Yukon. It is the top trim level other than the Denali.

Car dealers are some slimy bastards but I can't blame them for getting as much as they can. A few years ago I stopped by a dealer to check out a new model and a lady was there trading in a nissan pickup. I asked her what they offered her..... $500 cause the truck had "issues". CEL, cracked winshield and some other b.s.
Poor lady was just gonna hand it over for $500. Told her id give her $750 to put down on her new one and bought it on the spot. CEL was on due to clogged EGR. Fixed it myself and listed it in the paper for $3800 and it sold the same day the ad ran.
As bad as dealers are at screwing people you got off easy. You lost some money but it could have been far worse. I never buy new or from dealers. I pay cash up front to individuals and it saves a bundle not having to fork over a ridiculous amount for full coverage as the loan is paid off. If you do the math and figure up interest and insurance as you pay it off its appauling how much you are being screwed out of.

They will always make money. I know I didn't knock the deal out of the park and wasn't expecting to for a '14. Maybe I'm just losing a step or two.

I didn't say "Say nice things about my deal to make me feel better." I wanted to gauge the OT baller reaction.

Furthermore, you should've taken TruCar pricing and went to multiple dealerships to use it against one dealership against the other. Secondly, you should've threaten to get up and leave and see the reaction of the slim ball salesman. Remember, you hold all the cards as the consumer.
