2 people shot, 1 critical after car wreck on Pete's hwy. Denham

Right at MLK Blvd. Got stuck in the road block this afternoon. Figured someone got shot in that part of town. Good had Pete's hwy shut down and we had to take a detour.

Police: 2 shot in Denham Springs, 1 critical
DENHAM SPRINGS - Sources confirm to News 2 that two people are injured following a shooting in Denham Springs Monday night.
The shooting occurred near the 400 block of Petes Highway. According to sources, one of the patients is in critical condition, and the other patient was shot in the leg.
Denham Springs Police tell News 2 the victims were involved in a crash near MLK St. where investigators have a scene roped off. Police say they crashed following the shooting and attempted to flee the scene on foot.
Few other details are known at the time of this post, and a News 2 Crew is headed to the scene. We'll update with additional information as it becomes available.

Used to be Rodeo Drive. In Junior High in the early 90's, a young hip hop group debuted an original song to the entire gym entitled, "This is for all the G's on Rodeo."

The folks along Rodeo moved to rename the Street in Memoriam of Dr. King if I recall correctly.
