You aren’t intelligent enough to define the word irony.

That book is more about a exceedingly hierarchical society, I think as a response to fascism.
Imagine if every individual had a preordained intellectual grade (like F through A) when they were born, and then were trained for activities in their respective categories, very factory like. It’s similar to a caste system. That’s kinda the gist, but those at the bottom are essentially sub human. I think they take some happy pills too, but it’s been a while.
I find 1984 to be much scarier.

Anytime you want to peacefully discuss or debate ANY topic related to culture or politics, I’m your huckleberry. Until then, continue to predictably lose your shite NPC-style all over this board.

He gazed up at the enormous face. Forty years it had taken him to learn what kind of smile was hidden beneath the dark moustache. O cruel, needless misunderstanding! O stubborn, self-willed exile from the loving breast! Two gin-scented tears trickled down the sides of his nose. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother.
and then he is shot in the back of the head.

You typed that statement, but I don't think you understand it anymore than a cat understands a laser pointer.

Orwell was an interesting cat for sure. An avowed socialist and opponent of authoritarian and totalitarian philosophies. Homage to Catalonia is a bit of a tough read, but an excellent opportunity to learn more about the man detailing his experiences fighting for the Republican side (a loosely amalgamated group of left-leaning to far-left factions) during the Spanish Civil War. The Road to Wigan Pier is another work of his that gives the reader some insight into the world view shaping the narrative for Animal Farm.

I wish I could go back to 1984 and do things differently in HS.
