15 percent of New Yorkers have antibodies for covid.

In a study of 3000, over 15 percent had antibodies meaning they had already had the virus. Again showing this thing is more widespread than thought but so much less deadly... so like the flu, or swine flu. LINK. Also the article states that puts the death rate at about .5 percent which still seems super high considering even the CDC announced weeks ago they would add “probable” deaths to the total, which are defined as people who showed symptoms before dying but weren’t tested. (the symptoms of pneumonia and the flu are the same as covid in serious stages, respiratory failure).

In another thread, some tool used a lot of words and numbers to prove if 10% of the test results are wrong then the 90% have 0% reliability.

The article leaves out the that over 20% infection rate in NYC. The highest infection rate yet of an area studied.

.5% of Louisiana adults is 17,500. We are at 1650 right now.
That was in New York, with the highest transmission and death rates by far. In Miami they did this and found the mortality rate to be .17. So 5,950 for Louisiana.

"Everybody" in Louisiana is not going to get it. It is true that absent a vaccine that most people need to get infected at some point if we are ever to get past this. Hopefully the true fatality rate is well under .5%. I don't think anyone has a solid read on this just yet.

But those total numbers are assuming everyone gets it, not even on the cruise ships did everyone get it, it was about 20 percent of people were infected. Also the .17 is probably way more accurate considering they are over-attributing deaths to Corona.

Wonder if these numbers could be even more skewed. We have seen the destruction in assisted living facilities, basically high spread rate due to closer contact and mortality due to age/health.
Our first hotspots of this outbreak are producing the highest numbers due to them being high risk individuals. Look at the hotspots on the naval vessels, or New Rochelle, to see that two infection hotspots will not provide the same results.

All forms of respiratory failure are not equal, and docs have said they can tell a definite difference between COVID and flu in presentation of cases on the far right side of the bell curve.
