Det. Kristen Hearn said the Polk County Police Department is obtaining search warrants for Davis's phone, Facebook account and a third social media site after unconfirmed rumors were reported the incident was recorded by the phone on a live streaming website.
She said she will seek the warrants on Tuesday to be able to get into the phone and confirm if the rumors are true.
Warrants required because she didn't have any friends on those services who could actually see it.
Too soon?

She was crying she was sorry for all kinds of things. Sorry for being worthless and other things. Sad.
It's tragic that our society teaches children from birth that they are corrupted, guilty and tainted by "original sin". The negative effects that have flowed from bullshite religious teachings have done incredible damage to society and the mental, emotional and physical health of individual human beings. It we want to know who is at fault for this girl's suicide, look in the mirror collectively as a society and the warped things we prioritize as important in life.

You can search youtube. It is graphic and disturbing. Poor girl, sounds like she was screaming for help... history of being a cutter and second attempt at suicide, and said somewherr that her stepfather might have raped her. She did suffer from depression. It's sad

I think this is a huge key. Doing something, anything no matter how small which serves to empower yourself is a huge first step in taking control of your life back. When you start feeling sorry for yourself, you just dig a deeper and deeper emotional and mental hole.

According to Mr Hangover if the father raped her, it's her own fault and no excuse for having depression.

People need to realize rejection isn't permanent. Sadness fades.
People need to realize everything external to you in life is impermanent. Everything comes and goes. Except your true self or higher self. The higher self is the space in which every action occurs in your life. You are simply an observer. Don't get pulled into the illusory drama. Be the watcher and observer of your thoughts, emotions and events that occur in your life and realize that none have the ability to hurt you in any way. The real you lives in a dimension beyond fear, death, etc. Therein lies peace.

Maybe for you. Not everyone is so lucky.
To answer your questions, yes to both.
Preteens and even children can have clinical depression. But teenage angst, blues, sub clinical depression, whatever you want to call it is more common in teens.

Just wanted to hug that young girl.
Terrible & heart-wrenching to hear the sadness in her voice.
Prayers to that mother

On the plus side, maybe teenage attention whores will kill themselves on a Facebook Live stream rather than go shoot up a school.

Not that I disagree with your sentiment, but lol man. Have you been around teenagers? I doubt the Buddha was mature enough as teen for the level of reasoning, patience, and objectivity necessary for the mentality you've described.
Hell most adults can't do it.

You're a fricking idiot if that's what you inferred from my posts and if you think I find some sort of sick humor in a 12 year old killing themselves then I really don't know what to tell you

From what I read on Reddit, the girl put notes online (maybe Instagram) saying her mom was a pill head who never took care of them, cleaned the house, cooked, etc. She was 12 and had to care for her younger siblings. On top of that, her step father raped her and told her she was worthless and to hang herself. She recently had to face her stepfather again at Christmas which may have set off more emotions.
Poor, innocent child got fricked because her parents were the scum of the earth.

If true, that's terrible
Kid wasn't equipped emotionally to handle so much negative and screw that mother & father.

but in MY experience, depression is usually a self inflicted wound

if people knew how to control their thoughts and knew how to stop manifesting so much negativity, most of the cases of depression would be nonexistent

So I guess you can lump me in the category of people who believe that MOST cases of depression are just for attention or just a self pity party

This girl said something about being raped by a dad or stepdad, right? You don't think that could F up and leave a 12 year old girl depressed?

dude STFU. You're trying so hard to sound philosophical and deep, but your post screams "intellectual dwarf". Do you know how many people are born and raised under religious tenants? How many are taught by their religion that they are
quote:?
corrupted, guilty and tainted by "original sin".
The problem isn't religion- its the adult's interpretation of religion and what they convey to the adolescent. Furthermore, if we
quote:
as a society
were guilty as you say, there'd be many more suicidal kids. But there aren't. Thats because MOST kids are raised by decent parents under some form of religion. This secular horse shite of always blaming religionl is a fricking cop out for shitty people doing shitty things to other people. Thats not religious and its not part of any predominant religion in a first world country. Instead of spewing the liberal, pseudo intellectual line about organized religion, put the blame squarely where it lies- on the adults who abused and mistreated the kid. Not a belief system that does and has done far more good than harm in modern society.

I said that it was self inflicted because people don't know how to control it, and most of the time it's completely accidental.. they think about it so much that they convince themselves that they're depressed so they basically do it to themselves... now I know every situation is different and no two cases are the same but it's like they wait for a magic cure to rid them of the pain.. having a bad day, week, or month isn't the same as going through depression... maybe I worded my initial post wrong, sorry for the confusion

I've said that multiple times in this thread..
And fwiw - I'm not even talking specifically about this girl or her situation
