WTH, does Management even make employees clean the damn kitchen after closing at this place.

A popular fast food restaurant in Milton became the latest local eatery to be shut down by the state last week after failing its random inspection.
The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation announced Tuesday that the Sonic drive-through restaurant in Milton had been issued an emergency closure notice on Oct. 12. Throughout the state, 20 restaurants were shut down by the DBPR last week.
According to the DBPR report, 12 live cockroaches were found throughout the kitchen areas of the restaurant. Another roughly 50 dead cockroaches were also found in the kitchen.
Other violations the restaurant was cited for included the men’s room not being clean, food not being stored at the proper temperature and storing uncooked meat products too close to food that was ready to eat.
Attempts to contact the restaurant Tuesday were not successful.
Sonic, located at 6173 Highway 90 in Milton, was approved to reopen Oct. 13 in the morning.
Sonic was the seventh local restaurant to be shut down by the DBPR in Okaloosa, Santa Rosa or Walton counties this year. Last year, 31 emergency closures were issued to restaurants in the local area.

Cockroaches can survive anything, even Sonic's food

Did it say if any of the 50 victims were killed by skates?

You must have taken a wrong turn out of Pensacola. Really no other reason to be in Milton.

The two dudes in those commercials are bone smokers, just in case you're wondering.

I love the surprise inspections! Bravo Florida!
The truth is that lots of restaurants would fail such inspections, and these places that are closed and fined can take this hard lesson and learn from it and improve. It's actions like this that will keep all restaurants on their toes.

They would take more pride in their job and clean up more if you ungrateful bastards would tip the carhops every once in a while! Jeez!

I read this thread just to see how many posts it would take until this comment was made.

This is such bullshite and I'm tired of big brother Obama shutting down. And crippling business with his regulations regulations. The free market should determine whether a restaurant stays open and if customers are ok to deal with cockroaches at the place for lower prices what's the problem?

Whew! I was holding my breath hoping this wasn't gonna be a Sonic I frequent.
