the most beautiful women you have ever seen that love american guys money. ah

and the beer is really cheap like less than $1 for a 30 oz pilsner.

The Czech Republic uses the Crown and not the Euro. I think the exchange rate was less that 75 cents to our dollar. Everything is dirt cheap there.

Ha, well have a good time. You are going to all pretty badass places. If you are going with guys I would def. do Prague over London or Milan. Also, you should make Vienna or Florence another option.

A lot if up in the air at this point once we arrive... Just making sure everything is taken care of before we go, I would hate to land and realize something needed to be done that wasn't. Then spend the first half of the trip on th phone trying to deal with it.

Remember easyjet.com to book your flights once in the EU. Or hit up the train station the day you want to leave. Don't purchase tickets through online sites, they rape you on prices.

Why on earth did you contact the US Embassy? I travel a ton and I've never felt the need to do this.

Thank you!

I was like, what the frick? That can't be necessary.

All I could think of them saying was, "Well, congratulations."

Calling the bank was the only necessary thing on that list.

All you had to do was go to the AAA and get an international drivers license. You certainly didn't need to contact the embassy about it.

Driving in Belgium

Tourists/temporary visitors

Tourists and temporary visitors are allowed to drive in Belgium on a valid license from a U.S. state. An International Driver's License is not required but some car rental companies may require one. The same rule applies for bearers of Belgian driver’s licenses who are temporary visitors to the United States.

Also, buying a rail pass is usually a bad idea.

Next time just type "what do I need to drive in X country". They don't really give a damn if you're American or not.

Someone should alert the TSA that someone traveling to Belgium in 11 days is suitcasing a quarter kilo.

Great idea, but I think I can do a little better than that.

ETA: hey OP, can you provide the OT with updates?
