I don't remember this. And the only real source seems to be Reggie's tweet.

I don't recall this either. Actually I recall the opposite and him saying he wanted to do what he needed to remain in Nola.

I've always been a fan of Reggie and think he takes too much criticism for not being Barry Sanders. It's not like he hasn't been an asset. I'd be very intrigued to see how he would do with a true every down back like Ingram to compliment him along with PT and Ivory. He used to be much better as a back before Deuce got hurt

can't say I disagree with him leaving. it is what it is.. he isn't worth the money he wants. hopefully he goes to a non-divisional team and does well. i will certainly miss him. we don't win the SB without him.

I'd guess the money that he's owed.

Congrats to Mark Ingram on being selected to New Orleans. He will be a great addition to the Saints backfield just as he was in Alabama

Just what exactly do you think you'd get for a guy that averages 400 yards rushing, 400 yards receiving, 6 TDs, misses on average 4 games a year and is on the last year of a contract that calls for him to be paid 11.8 million dollars?

I don't think many teams would be lining up to gives us the last pick they have two years from now for Reggie Bush, much less anything valuable now. The best thing from losing reggie is that we have more money to resign someone else.

I find it hard to believe. You have to be pretty dumb to tweet that and not know how it would be taken

His role with the Saints can't be judged by ypc. Only getting 5-8 carries a game make it hard to average over 4 ypc. The mismatches he creates and opens up for others is where is value is.

I also have no recognition of this. Not sure where yahoo is getting any of their info from.

Honestly think he tried to piece together a story around the tweet so he could be the 1st to break it.

i think its like this, although i am no expert on pierre's deal...

we use ingram as leverage to finally get reggie to renegotiate. you get him down to around where pierre's contract is. if he doesn't accept, you dump him and keep pierre. if he does accept. you keep him and dump pierre. both can be the same thing to our backfield although i would rather have reggie and he is more explosive. I really like reggie but you have to face facts and drew brees new contract is gonna need some salary room.

Why would a team trade for him and have to pay him that ridiculous contract when they know we'll cut him and that team can get him for a much cheaper price?
