This is not uncommon. Almost all whistle blowers have ties to a company/situation and were fired and have bad blood with said company/employer
It's also amusing Benson "leaked" all this information to the news station. Granted, Benson owns it, but it's not earth shattering news that Benson and Saints are trying to spin this back on ESPN/the sources. Good PR move.

Right now it does not make sense for Landry to make the allegations. If he did, then he has implicated himself. If he actually wired this as he alleges, then he would get in more trouble than anyone.
It's pretty obvious whoever ratted would have been in on setting up the audio.

I wouldnt take it so personally, KW was a complete arse to every caller. I quite listening to WWL when ever he was on. I got sick of him harassing callers. KW is not that knowledgeable about sports.

Im am in no way taking up or defending Tim Landry. However, before berating the guy Id like to know exactly what he told ESPN. Ive been interviewed by a reporter before and what I told the guy and what he printed in the paper were two totally different things. I would never talk to a reporter about anything controversial with out having my own recording of the conversation.
For example TL could have told ESPN that the saints previous GM had listening devices for the saints team only. ESPN says could ML have changed this to listen to opposing teams too? TL anythings possible. ESPN did ML ever have any head sets on during games? TL sure he listened to an ear bud from a jack on his desk.

So, dude gets fired for stealing, knows his former employer is committing a federal crime, but decides to disclose this information to a scumbag reporter from ESPN who got information from Kenny Wilkerson 8 years after it happened? Not to mention the NFL sends a guy to each stadium who is specifically there to make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen?
