Guess they’re predicting defense to not play as well and running game to not be as dominant. Also let’s be honest it’s likely going to be a pretty tight race between atl, car, and us again which will bring the win total down.

There are some crazy numbers on there like Houston and Green Bay.

Watson is coming back for Hou and he made that a VERY different team.

But what I don't understand is both GB AND Minny at 10.5. I mean it can happen but usually you are conservative with these numbers and that's a super aggressive prediction for both to be that high.

But I'd definitely like to put money on us for the over and Atl for the under.

Edit:
The nfc north would have an average of 8.75 wins per team. Seems really high when you consider Det and Chi are in there.

Look at our schedule. That back half is death row, I'd be amazed if we won 11.

Also division winners in nfc south haven't been consistent.

I have a hard time believing that. I think it's probably as simple as taking a look at the schedule. We have a top 5 SOS and no matter how good your team is that's going to be a challenge.

Mostly because we played in a division with 3 teams in the playoffs. We went 4-1 against those other two playoff teams last season, 6-1 total in division.

Which means nothing for the upcoming season.

8 teams that made the playoffs in 2016 missed them in 2017. Lots of things can change in a year.

People thought Carolina was about to become a playoff staple before they went 6-10. The Falcons fell the frick off for a year. We went 7-9 3 out of 4 years (with an 11-5 season sprinkled in).

And then there is the injury factor that can change the whole shape of a division or even a conference (like Rodgers and Watson/Watt last year).

The ONE constant year after year has been the Pats. They are truly the oddity of the whole league. I mean even Cle decides to have a pretty good year once every 8 years or so.

So yeah, SoS from last year means jack.

Anyone else love Minny under 10.5?

Not sure what GB will look like even with Rodgers back, and how Cousins will fit in that offense.

It's a really tough one to call because Minny's D is still legit. Probably will be one of the tighter division races in the league. I could see either team stumbling and only winning 8 or 9, but not both.

Who's good from year to year is completely unpredictable. Settle down nancys.....I'm sure anyone who saw the saints on thier schedule last year chalked up a dub.

of course its going to be different, but this is the reality of that back 10. most people think those 5 are championship contenders, they may have lost some components, but they all added parts too.

@Minnesota - championship contender
vsLA Rams - championship contender
@Cincy - easy
vsPhilly - Champions
vsATL (TNF) - bloodbath, championship contender
@Dallas - playoff contender
@TB - divisional game
@Carolina - divisional game, 3 weeks away in a row, playoff contender
vsPittsburgh - championship contender
vsCarolina - divisional game, playoff contender

Games:
1 seemingly easy (Cincy)
5 championship contenders (philly, atl, minny, LA Rams, pittsburgh)
3 playoff contenders (dallas, carolina x2)
and another divisonal (TB)

I'm not big on SOS based on wins/losses from last year, but we do play a lot of teams that should be very good this year.

All 3 in our division are tough, and throw in Philly, Wash, Pit, @Bal, @Cin, LARams, @Min, and even @Dallas and it does look pretty tough.

Very few "easy" wins, but I'd estimate 10 wins.

Key or excessive injuries are the only way I can see less than 9 wins for this team.

We beat most of the teams hiking up our SOS with half a roster last year. I think we will be ok as long as we don’t have a repeat everyone gets hurt year.
