Maybe you're that kind of guy and that's great. Do you not think any of the posts in this thread might be puffing or maybe insincere outrage? Honestly, never doubt the stupidity of people...yes some people are more outraged, silly as it is, that them folks in Atlanta is makin' fun of da saints.

wut.
The radio station didn't stop their own program because of the 1st Amendment? You seem smart.

I'm sure the guy is a major handjob, but you have to give them leeway. You want them to push te envelope because morning drive ratings competition is stiff in a market like Atlanta. As a radio fan I can appreciate this guy jumped off the cliff, and I think quality is better when entertainers take risk.
Additionally, all the moral outrage in this thread is preposterous. No one here is even the slightest bit upset unless they really have nothing else going on, and I guarantee you many of the outraged posters here probably complain daily about the "PC police"
See I have to to disagree here. Radio shows are about entertainment. From the examples of what was said, that people have posted, there was no entertainment there.
I can appreciate a good joke these weren't well thought out. They weren't well written or give you the sense of "Oh, that's wrong, but funny" that really good comedians and actor's can pull off. It was for shock value and that is all.
I have yet to hear one argument for these guys besides they they are pushing the envelope and freedom of speech arguments. When the closest thing to support for these guys becomes that generic you have to admit they were way off base.
You can push the envelope, that's fine, but some things are off limits. Don't believe me watch someone make an Eric Legrand joke even on accident and see what happens.

I'm still trying to figure out how anyone who calls themselves a Saints fan can defend what was said.

Being a contrarian is sooooo cool.

Personally, I'm not outraged. If nothing would have happened to guys doing the skit, my day continues as if something did. However, I completely understand why someone would be. Not to the point of stupidity, but genuinely mad and upset. I get it.
I have a niece with MS. She is pretty bad off. I've heard "retard" jokes all the time. It upsets me a little and that's okay.

What am I trying to figure out ?
Guys acted like complete assholes.
That pissed a lot of people off in a business where you are trying to attract people to your product.
They could get fired for it.

Except this conversation has precisely dick to do with the saints as far as what I am speaking about, and thank you for further validating my point...because that's what most people are genuinely upset about if tey are actually upset at all.

fightingtiger is sensitive to words on the internet getting people in trouble.

I would hope that not every poster here deals with that on such a personal level. Statistically, it's impossible. Surely I know some people are upset for similar reasons, but not everyone, and not the majority.

really? this is hard to figure out?

Promise you it has nothing to do with that. I think part of what I find so fascinating is that people here are upset about this and lose their fricking shite when similar liberal BS comes their way. It's very inconsistent.

Apparently, Jeff Duncan is pissed too:
Suspensions not enough, Atlanta radio station needs to do right by Steve Gleason
