if you watch the replay of the pass interference call at the end of the game. it was quite possibly the worst attempt at pass defense you have ever seen. david is getting smoked and trying to catch up to the reciever and then kk decides to jump on the reciever and start humping him about 3 seconds before the ball gets there. then david decides to join in with kk humping the guy. what are these guys doin in the NFL ? i just dont understand anymore.

yep i doubt the receiver could have made the catch anyway. It looked like the past was off target. If it falls incomplete, we force them to punt.

We've got to get a safety in either the draft or free agency. KK can't cut it....He aint no Check Cecil.

Jason David would be a pretty solid corner if we were running a Cover 2. He can't cover man-to-man, though.

To be honest the Saints have the personnel to run a Cover 2 like the Colts do, but it won't happen as long as Payton keeps Gibbs around.

Look, it's fricking Thursday and ya'll are still dissecting that shite. It's fricking over. We've got a game Sunday (3 days). Why don't we try worrying about that. But for what it's worth, yeah, it was a bad interference play. Why don't you try being those guys for a second though. End of the game, BIG stop needed, ball gets aired out, and both (well more KK than David) were playing the reciever and not the ball. I think they were victims of getting caught up in the moment and trying to prevent the big play. No excuse, because it did ultimately cost us big, but KK has been big for us on ST and has made some big plays at saftey as well. Ya'll (meaning pretty much over half the dillweeds here lately) need to back off the dude because up till recently everyone was suckin KK's jock how he needed to be the starter and .

EXACTLY!!!

We lost a game. Third one this season where we played like shite and still almost won the game, which means if we bring our "A" Game, then we can blow a team out, especially Oakland.

It's time to look ahead to Oakland and Aaron Brooks Jr. (Russell).

Thank you for saying it WhoDatFan!!

First, it was bad. But, it's hard to blame David much without knowing what the coverage called for.
If it was for KK to cover the deep middle, than JD had decent coverage on Berrian. And believe it or not, because of the poor throw, if KK doesn't steamroll BB then JD would of had a good opportunity to break up the pass.

Now as for KK. I'm pretty sure he had deep middle and got caught trying to cheat up for a short pass or a run. Then he simply screwed up by not trying to locate the ball. Our CB's aren't great, but our Safties make our CB's look a whole lot worst than they are.

I still don't understand the mentality of defensive backs in the NFL.

A pass interference is as good as a catch, so common sense tells you that if you don't know where the ball is, just cross your fingers.

As long as there is a less than 100% chance that the ball is going to be caught (and how would you know that if - like David and KK you had no clue where the ball was) you should lay off and hope that the pass if off target.

Stupid teams lose football games. Don't interfere on a long pass if you have no idea where the ball is.

Cant take the chance on that. He lost the ball, this is the NFL, you have to assume that it will be caught. He did what he could to break it up , all be it killing the fricking wr, but he didnt know where the ball was. That was his fault along with being out of position but he had to run hard at the WR and try to hope for the best.

I had forgotten about the Saints game because I was watching baseball playoffs. When I turned the channel to catch the last 3 minutes of the Saints Vikings game, the first big play that I saw was that Abortion of a defensive play involving Jason David and some other Saints pass defender that I never heard of . . . both Saints pass defenders looked like Circus Clowns in a Comedy Act with the way that they flubbed and MUGGED the Viking pass receiver . . . it was OBVIOUS that the Saints defenders thought that the ONLY way that they could prevent the TD was to MUG and HUMP the Viking pass receiver.

I kind of laughed at the TV and thought back on my Saints Fandom that goes back to 1967, and, I said out loud to myself, "The more things change, the more they stay the same."

SOS !! Same Ole Saints !

They'll never get another nickel out of me!

dude you are so dead on with that analogy. Its 3rd and 3 and they throw a 50 yd bomb and David is running for his life to catch up to the receiver and KK is dry humping the receiver in the process. Them 2 couldnt cover my dog.

ya, that was a really bone headed play by KK. he ran up to the guy and kinda picked him up. it was obviously pass interference. that play made me more angry than anything else in the game. we probably would have won the game and be sittin pretty at 3-2 if it wasn't for that.

I played DB in HS and college, they train to watch the receivers eyes and motions, that's why you see so many DB's always turned away from the ball even though the ball is right over there back, I would always turn around to find the ball, got a lot of pics, but really pissed my coaches off.

who are these fcuking people that keep suggesting if that we played a cover 2 david would be a good corner....he's a terrible corner.

there's a reason why indy let him go...cbs aren't exactly easy to come by why would they let a good one go?
