How many opportunities do you see the Saints having to go to the Superbowl again?

I think the Saints will make the playoffs every year in the next 5 years and make it back to the Superbowl at least 1 more time in the next 5 years.

What say you?

Sorry if this has already been discussed.

Im an optimist. Just looking at the team we have now and coaching staff I think they can remain consistent. That's all I'm asking really is if the Saints can be consistent.

I'm a big fan. But why don't we just concentrate on the task at hand?

Honestly, we might make the playoffs 3 of the next 5 years but we may not be in the Super Bowl again for a long time.

It all depends on how they draft. If they can find a couple of defensive linemen, another CB, etc.; they should stay at the top of contention.

If they don't, they'll fall back.

The NFL is all about the draft.

And dumbasses that think they are the only true fan usually take post count and try to relate it to the level of fan a person is.

I'm just saying that predicting to make the playoffs 6 straight years and 2 superbowls is a bit much.

That might be what you meant, and I agree with ya there, but not what you said.

NFC

2008 - Cardinals
2007 - Giants
2006 - Bears
2005 - Seahawks
2004 - Eagles
2003- Panthers
2002 - Bucs
2001 - Rams

While it looks promising....as you can see...nothing is guaranteed with injuries, free agency, and the draft.

True... I was pointing out that newer people to this usually are unrealistic.

eta: Probably could have been less of a dick about it.

That's why its a prediction and an opinion. I never said you had to agree with it.

We have the potential to become the new "dynasty" of the NFL. If we keep drafting wisely and making key FA aquisitions, there is no reason to think we can't be SB contenders as long as Brees is in his prime. It's a crapshoot in the NFL and can almost certainly go the other way as well.

I think 5 Super Bowl wins and the Cowboys, Vikings, Dolphins and Packer organizations go out of business and cease to be.

Wow, that's a lot of turnover for the decade - also shows how hard it is to get back without a truly great team.
