I would give a look at guard for Penning
Or if you get Hurst back he can start at G to help those positions

Don't touch the fricking line. We actually look somewhat competent.

Peat will likely be hurt next game and out for six weeks. I’m actually shocked he played the entire game last week without visiting Peat’s Place.

"There were two players on a football field. One was named Peat. The other was named Re-Peat.
Peat went into the injury tent, so who was left?
Re-Peat.

i don't hate what we have now. Garcia is playing well and the unit as a whole is playing well

I don't know why people are so surprised. Peat's best position was always LT, but he got slid inside bc of Armstead.
I've gotten lambasted for this opinion on a few different occasions. It's obvious though.

no he wasnt, not even close to serviceable even on a special ed curved scale
he needed constant help from a RB AND TE on almost every play and he still let guys get after carr all day.
they changed the fricking plays, thats what changed, its not peat and the new line group, they once again had kamara with 12 runs for 11 yards before he broke a couple long runs

I remember when saints took Peat and everyone was shocked because tackle was not the need position that season
They called it best player available
In hindsight, he has had a better career than the next few olinemen that went after him
The next ol pick that draft was Cameron Erving

You weren't the only one I have been beating this drum forever. Peat is a starting caliber left tackle and has never been a good guard. He stayed at a position because despite all else when healthy he can run block very well. for some reason at the guard spot he can't pass protect for shite.

I dont think that he gave up a sack the last 2 games, did he?

agree with both of you. i thought drafting peat wasn't a bad idea even if we played him at guard because it would give us an easy backup option at lt.
was a consensus 5 star tackle coming out of high school and an all-american lt coming out stanford. i mean, there are worse options than peat at lt. he's bit long to play guard. guys seem to get inside on him in pass pro at the guard spot.

He allowed 10 pressures and 3 QB hits bs JAX
Didn’t give up anything this week - zero pressures, hits, sacks etc
Guy hasn’t played extensively at LT since 2017
