With how well we have recently drafted, who are some guys we missed out on?

Who are some players that our fanbase wanted or we were repeatedly mocked to that we missed on?
Just 1st and 2nd round picks.

I dont know if we were mocked to draft him, but didn't Sean say we were one pick away from selecting Mahomes?

In theory every player that is on the board after you pick for the first time you have missed out on. If you take a guard in the first round and he plays 8 years for you and team Y takes a LBer in the 3rd round that becomes a HOF player then you missed out.
The other part of this is what were the team needs when you picked. Look at this past draft we took Ruiz and two picks later GB took Jordan Love. So two years from now we may have an all-pro OG or C, but Love may end up being a future HOF player.

NO could have had Lamar Jackson, Deshaun Watson, TJ Watt. Lattimore is great but probably not as pivotal as getting Watson or TJ Watt. Saints have missed good opportunities to set the qb sport for 12 to 15 years just to eek out a couple more with Brees.

Can pretty much insert any LSU player and draft year
2015 - Danielle Hunter (3rd Round) / Kwon Alexander (4th) - Saints drafted Garrett Grayson and PJ Williams ahead of Hunter and Kwon in the 3rd.
2016 - Deion Jones (2nd Round) - Saints drafted Michael Thomas ahead of Jones
2017 - Duke Riley (3rd Round) / Kendell Beckwith (3rd Round) - Saints drafted Kamara ahead of Riley and drafted Anzalone right after the Riley pick and Saints drafted Hendrickson ahead of Beckwith

We picked Saquan Hampton in the 6th round of last year's draft. The following pick was Gardner Minshew.

Maybe I misunderstood the question. I thought original poster was asking about players fans may have wanted but we ended up not drafting because we went with another player.
Obviously, we drafted very well and in no way do I consider Deion Jones or Duke Riley to be better than Michael Thomas or Alvin Kamara.
