Will Derek Carr crack the Drew Brees top 13

Drew holds the top 13 single season passing yard years for Saints.
Derek is on pace right over 4k yards to break the 13th spot.
He'd need to average 270 per games remaining to surpass Drew's 4334 spot 12th.

Drew didn't play in very many 17 game seasons.
In other words I would sure as hell hope so.

well playing and staying healthy is an issue at hand in the nfl. but beyond that, he should get upwards of 4400 potentially if he continues to get better in the offense.

Yards are dumb, putting points on the scoreboard are more important. Drew Brees also holds the top 12 single season passing TD years for the saints. Lowest being 27 touchdowns. Carr is on pace for 16
But Carr does hold the single season most paid saints player of all time. Almost double Brees

It's not as egregious as 17 vs 15/16 games. Sure, if Carr hits the 270 per game he'll have the 12th most yards in a single season in team history. But, if you were to look at it as yards per game (and eliminate the 2 w/ 3 or fewer games) and he hits those marks he'd have the 15th most yards per game over a season. So not that far off.
I don't think he gets there because he's bound to have another 1-2 games under 150 yards.

The TDs is definitely the problem. "IF" Carr & Pete are able to fix the red zone woes, that number should be higher than 16. I just don't see it happening; especially if they start going more run & Taysom inside the 10 (like they should). Carr does have 6 TDs over the last 4 games, but even at that pace he'll finish right at 20.
FYI: Brees did have a 23 TD season over 16 games back in 2017

football stats just don't mean nearly as much as baseball stats because of the drastic evolution of the game over time and multiple additions to the length of the season.
maybe per game avg means something as far as stats go. in football it's all about wins, losses and championships or else we'd be calling dan marino the GOAT.

Damn near every Qb making more than Carr is way better than him. Brees is a top 5 qb of all time. I wouldn’t give the Brees contract to carr even in todays market.
