if we end up with 3 losses and they don't lose anymore, they get the tiebreaker.

Doesn't matter. If we finish with the same overall record, they would have one fewer NFC losses than we would, which would give them the tiebreaker edge.

And that adds value how? No fricking shite they've lost to an NFC team. fricking Arizona was an NFC team, too. Big fricking deal. The point is that because we don't have 4 common opponents and we've swept the AFC and they didn't, they win the tiebreaker due to conference record. The fact that Carolina is in the NFC means absolutely nothing.

If both teams end up with 3 losses, Minnesota holds the tie breaker because they would have 2 losses to NFC opponents and the Saints would have 3 losses to NFC opponents.

For all of the slow-on-the-uptake whodats...

Worst case scenario:

Saints finish 13-3
Vikings finish 13-3

That would mean that the Saints finished with an NFC record of 9-3.

That would also mean that the Vikings finished with an NFC record of 10-2 thus giving them the better NFC record and the tiebreaker over the Saints.

The Saints magic number is one. They need either one win or one Minnesota loss to clinch homefield advantage.

If both teams win out, they would have one more NFC loss than us. They would have Arizona and Carolina, we only have Dallas.

Commas go inside quotation marks.

But then again, we say "Who Dat!" so who freaking cares?

Yes, destroy Tampa (and/or if Bears win at home next Monday night), and then let Brunell get some snaps at Carolina. I don't like too much "rest" but this late and with absolutely nothing to play for, it's stupid to risk injury.

That wouldn't be a "tie breaker," now would it?
