Out coached Saints defense. Saints defense did not make any adjustments regarding SF misdirected offensive plays. Adjustments? Simple: Ends Contain! DB's stand over WR. Don't let them get away from you. Last play don't let let the TE outside and hold them on the line. Blitz to rush the throw.

If SF wasn't running misdirected plays they were throwing short slants. Adjustments? Take the short game away by last minute switch to 1 on 1 and hitting the WR's off the line. Simple

Payton could have told the referees of a pending fake punt, as he did for the onside kick in the Superbowl.

Referee blew the holding call on SF and the defensive interference on the Saints.

Saints are the better team even without our starting LB's or anyone else. Because the Saints offense scored 46 points on the best defense (SF) in the country. Yet, the coaches let us all down. I believe Peyton has already address these issues, just wait and see the Saints move up again!

The Saints are the only team in the NFL that has to design a complete gameplan anticipating every possible scenario whereby the refs can screw us.

At some point it borders on the ridiculous.

The offense scored 46 points. Payton is not the problem. Dennis Allen should have been escorted out of the Dome and told to clean out his office.

Same thing could be said about the 49ers defense. In fact, if I'm Kyle Shanahan I'm wondering how my no. 1 ranked defense gave up 46 points.

Or 22 could’ve just made a tackle for a 5 yard gain and they probably run out of time

Injuries to the Saints D caused the loss because the Saints D is a bit short on depth.

I feel your pain, however it's easier to brawl him out and ask him why couldn't make those obvious adjustments.

You make a good point however I could care less because I am not a SF fan! Oh, the answer is simply, Mr. Drew Brees!

Absolutely this. I get that he was put in a bad spot with having 2 linebackers out...but it's like he hasn't learned from the last 2 playoff losses. I actually feel better if the Saints are down 2 in the final seconds and Drew has the ball than if they're up 2 and the defense has to make a stop. The season opener with Houston perfectly illustrated that.
