Why not run the clock down to :03 or so and kick?

Minnesota used up its last timeout and the Saints had one.

What are you talking about? Minnesota used their last timeout on 3rd down. The Saints kicked on 4th down. There was no opportunity to run the clock down.

Because the refs missed a crucial offsides penalty that eliminated the ability to do that. Here...

Should never run it down past 11 seconds in that situation.
Remember the first Atlanta game? If there is a penalty on the kicking team its also a 10 second run off.

I think you mean run twice, right? Running play, force a TO, then on third down run again and take the clock down. I was screaming that at the TV too.

Was the play before the Kamara running play a pass play out of bounds?
