disloyal to the home team is grammatically correct by the definition of the word

But how is there disloyalty if there was no loyalty to begin with?

Merriam Webster defines disloyalty as the absence of loyalty not the relinquishment of it

eta: you should also go look up the word entitled

I just never got the whole "I'm a such and such fan now, as of a week ago" people. Becuase they like a specific player or something

Like you just decide to be a fan of someone just like...cause why not

So strange to me. The whole concept is really weird. It goes against everything that being a sports fan should be about IMO

Being a sports fan is like your dad taking you to a ball game when you're 5 and buying you a hotdog at the game and you following this team for the next 70 years of your life. Not like, hey I like this player, I'm a fan of that team now. Like...not really. You aren't REALLY a fan of that team.

I dunno if this is what this thread is about but I'm bored so I typed all of that out anyway

well it is a fact they never sold out season tickets until after katrina. they were regularly getting bailed out by entergy and harrahs to avoid blackouts even in good years like 2000.

of course not but it's a metric.

you can't honestly deny that the number of Saints fans has risen dramatically in recent years. not saying there is anything wrong with that, but those people are much bigger "bandwagoners" than me, if you can really even call me a bandwagoner after rooting for the same team for over 25 years. Sorry but that's a fact.

it's a metric of how many people are willing to pay to attend games not a metric of how many fans there are. I know several die hards that never have been to a saints game that are likely bigger fans than most with season tickets.

you're fandom started by bandwagoning. you became a fan because they were good

I said your fandom STARTED by bandwagoning. has nothing to do with how it continued

I like how you have been calling people idiots and morons and the like all through this thread. I remember a thread a while back were you were on your high horse condemning those using such insults in their posts towards you

I love when bandwagon fans of an historically successful franchise claim they are not because the team they root for had a bad season or stretch of bad seasons and they were still "fans".

Why is he not a Chiefs fan? Or Seahawks fans? Or Jets?

If you are not from the Bay Area, have no ties to the Bay Area or never lived in the Bay area, and root for the 49er's you are a bandwagon fan.

At some point though, you have to stop calling them bandwagon fans if they stick with that team and not move on to another team.
