He’s a below average starter. Spot-starter for injury, sure.

When he’s not the weak link on your line, you got a big problem.

This two linebacker system is working great. We could play 10 defensive backs and Hoby Brenner would have 9 catches for 150 yards and 2td's.

Ruiz is in now, but he should be in so that's just meeting the expectation. You draft 1st round picks to play, period *unless you're a developmental QB. To me, the more disturbing matter is after the draft CSP comes out and says something like (paraphrasing), "had Ruiz not been there, we were targeting Baun in the 1st." You wanna talk about red flags? A would-have-been 1st round pick for us can't even DRESS OUT much less get a couple snaps. THAT is disturbing.

Baun played more edge In college. Without a preseason along with his injuries to start the year it will probably take him longer to get up to speed. The saints have a lot of depth so they have the luxury of bringing rookies up slowly. I still think we have 3 really good players from the draft.

Ruiz played the majority of last game. I kept my on him on a good bit of plays especially in pass protection and he handled his man. Was very solid the plays I watched him.

He was very good in pass protection. I would bet that he becomes the starter from here on out. I think they were bringing him in slowly after his injury bc we have 6 capable lineman.
